Our aid project in Malawi / Africa

When Dürr Technik began to support the construction of a community school for orphans in Malawi in 2013, nobody could have guessed how positively the project would develop. With the construction of the school, many other aid projects were created to support the village of Ntaja, and even the entire region, with its inhabitants.

In addition to running the school, paying teachers and training them, Dürr Technik supports the Foundation for Farming Project (FFF). The agricultural project trains the smallest farmers in composting, crop rotation and soil management. For many, the conversion of their cultivation methods means that crop yields more than double within a few years and that they can earn their own living. More than 2,000 families from all over the region now benefit from this.

In addition, the donations go to young people with ideas to provide them with start-up financing to set up a small "start-up company". Thus honey productions, joineries, guesthouses or garages are created. A Crop Bank cooperative and self-help groups for women are also supported.

Sports and youth work is also not neglected. Every week, up to a hundred young people meet for training alongside school. There is a girls' netball team, an acrobatics team and, of course, a football team. Two weeks ago, two young soccer players were invited to the trial training of the U17 national team. One of them has meanwhile been accepted into the squad of the U17 national team.
